Isle Of Nightmares
More About Garnsey
This island has been ruled over by pagan warlocks and clerics since before history began. Sorcery, both good and evil, is rife. Standing stones and burial grounds dot the landscape, still used in mysterious rituals. For a hundred years or more there have been ever-increasing attacks by monsters not native to the island, which cannot have arrived here naturally. The population of the civilised races (human the most prolific) has been decreasing slowly because of these attacks, and the small areas of civilisation are separated by tracts of woodland and marsh. Though only a few miles square, there is wilderness in Garnsey.
But there is more than the evil of monsters at work in Garnsey. Ruled over by a corrupt Lieutenant Governor, Guillaume de la Rue, there is strife and injustice within what civilisation remains here. The island is divided down the middle into two fiefs, Fief de Bessin and Fief de Cotentin, which are ruled over by two seigneurs, Abraham Lainé and Roger Hamelin. Centuries of peace between the two fiefs have recently been shattered. Only someone who wins the trust of both seigneurs could possibly hope to bridge their divide.
